What will I be doing in class?
Besides having the most fun ever? We will be going over some cookie facts, decorating techniques and you will be decorating your very own set of cookies that you will take home with you that day.
Can I purchase an additional take-home kit?
Yes! Many parents or practicing cookiers purchase additional class kits to take home and re-do the classes. You can purchase an add-on kit during check-out. Your kit will be available at the end of your class – so don’t forget it! If you’re skipping class and just ordering the kit – swing by anytime
Do I need to know how to bake?
Nope! No baking history required. We will have the cookies pre-made for you along with the icing already mixed and colored. Have a little decorating experience under your belt… er… apron? Come on too! I can help with questions on icing mixing and dough spread!
What will I learn?
You’ll learn what goes into preparing royal icing, the value of different icing consistencies – we’ll touch on tips and tricks to make your cookies look even better than they taste (and they taste good)! You’ll also learn different decorating techniques depending on the class theme such as marbling,
What do I need to bring?
For cookie-ing? Nothing but a smile, I’ll have you fully covered there! There is a PowerPoint for reference, so if you wear glasses, I’d encourage you bring them. You may want to bring a payment option if you plan to have a glass (or bottle – I’m not judging) of wine. Wine experience has a great selection of beverages for purchase and compliment the stress of decorating very well 😉
What age is best for cookie class?
Our classes are for almost any age! From teens to grandparents, come on in & have some cookie fun with us! Perfect for anyone 12 + up. Though they can’t have any wine! I’ll have take-home kits available if your littles are missing out on the fun!
What will I bring home?
By the end of the class, you will have created a set of gorgeous cookies ready to dry for 24 hours in their own box. And of course, you’ll have new skills, memories, and fun!
Can I sign up as an individual or group?
You can sign up either way! Bring a friend, bring a neighbor, bring your grandma! The more the merrier! We are limited to a total of 20 so definitely sign up ASAP. But if your email is the only one I have on file, please fill your guest in on any information I send.
Where are the classes located?
Location varies depending on class. Check the address on the signup form to make sure you come to the right place!
I signed up for class but can’t make it?
🙁 I understand that life happens so that’s why I allow you to cancel up to 7 days before the class. Any cancelations after the 7 days will be a class credit redeemable for up to 3 months from the credit issue date. Cancelations the day of class will not receive any credit or refund, but you can still swing by and pick up your cookies and take them to go! If you no show, I will not be able to refund, credit or hold your cookies.
